Welch’s Pies and Pasties Benalmádena is a traditional British bakery and food shop, bringing you the proper taste of home and all those familiar favourites you know and love.
From freshly baked pies, pasties and sausage rolls to homemade cakes, breakfast baps and everyday essentials, everything we do is about quality, honest ingredients and good old-fashioned service. Whether you’re popping in for something freshly baked, picking up a few favourites for home or simply craving a proper British treat, you’ll always find a warm welcome waiting for you.
OUR STORY
Welch’s Pies and Pasties Benalmádena
Sam and Chris made the move to Spain 13 years ago, and four years later Welch’s Pies & Pasties was born in Torremolinos. What started as a traditional British bakery has continued to grow, while keeping the same focus on proper food, familiar favourites and friendly service.
Over the years, the business has grown through word of mouth and the support of our wonderful customers, many of whom have been with us from the early days. What began as a small bakery has become something we’re incredibly proud of, but our approach has never changed – good food, friendly service and making people feel at home.
Last year, Welch’s moved to lovely new premises in Benalmádena, overlooking the sea. The move gave us the opportunity to expand, adding our Mini Market alongside the bakery, with a growing range of British and Irish groceries, cupboard favourites and everyday essentials.
We can also supply fresh British and Irish meat to order. As it’s ordered fresh for our customers, you won’t necessarily see it displayed in the shop — just ask us what’s available and we’ll be happy to help.
Our refrigerated van means we can also offer deliveries, helping us get your Welch’s favourites to you safely and in perfect condition.
Whether you’re popping in for something freshly baked, stocking up on favourites from home or arranging an order, you’ll always find a warm welcome at Welch’s Pies and Pasties Benalmádena.
Our shop is also a place where you can browse, have a chat and discover something you may not have seen for a while. We know how much people living in Spain can miss certain foods from home, so we love being able to bring those familiar flavours a little closer. From everyday staples to those occasional treats you suddenly get a craving for, we aim to offer a selection that feels familiar while continuing to add new products.
Being an independent local business is important to us. We’ve built Welch’s through the support of our customers, many of whom have been coming to us for years. That friendly, personal approach remains at the heart of what we do. We want everyone who walks through the door to feel comfortable asking questions, making requests or simply having a look around.
